before buying these boots I tried them in different sizes to store an oulet Skechers. I usually wear a 9 1/2, but felt perfect 9. still, I went with 9 1/2 thinking of thick socks that I wear. the boots are warm enough, then you don't really have to wear heavy socks. now, even when I wear two pairs of thick socks, boots come off every step I take, which makes it hard to walk fast and/or long distances.
